Step 10
Step ten is simply, continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it. We discuss how this was laid out for us. We present our theory about the text on this subject and share our personal experience with the practice of it, from introduction to present day.
the sixth step
we discuss step six which states, we were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
the 11th tradition and the 12th step
the 11th tradition and the 12th step are intimately connected.
in this episode we talk about those connections and our experience with carrying the message to others, hope you enjoy it, and we hope to see you next week.
the fourth step
an episode about how to do a fourth step, what we learned from doing it and what we gained.
step 4. made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves
accepting growth
an episode about how acceptance and action relate to the recovery journey. Facing traumas, drug abuse including alcohol and harmful behaviors. Facing yourself and others on realistic grounds. Growth can be uncomfortable but staying within your comfort zone for an addict or alcoholic can be fatal.
the 11th step
another episode about spiritual practice. How and when and what do you do to improve your conscious contact wit5h god as you understand it.
We deliver our thoughts concepts and daily practice, with a new member to the group.
anonymity and tradition 12
The 12th tradition is the same in all the recovery programs. It states "12. Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities." - AA world services
the long form goes like this.
12. And finally, we of Alcoholics Anonymous believe that the principle of anonymity has an immense spiritual significance. It reminds us that we are to place principles before personalities; that we are actually to practice a genuine humility. This to the end that our great blessings may never spoil us; that we shall forever live in thankful contemplation of Him who presides over us all.
hope you enjoy it, and get something valuable to take on your journey with you.
Faith
this episode explores faith as it relates to recovery and the spiritual life.
letting go
This is an episode about how we handle facing hardship in recovery. I apologize in advance some of the audio became slightly distorted. There was enough material that I felt had value and was worth being heard so I dropped the episode, I hope that audio quality is at least good enough for some to here the message.
acceptance
"and acceptance was the answer" A conversation about the value of letting things be what they are. Ultimately any conscious change first begins with the realization that everything is as it should be right now.
step 3
talking about the third step with some other folks in recovery
step 2
me and some friends talk about the steps to recovery.
this episode focuses on step 2
step 1
A discussion about the finer points of the meaning of step one. From the perspective primarily of AA literature this time. I do encourage you though to apply these principles to any problem where modifying your own behavior may be a solution.
honesty
an exploration into the concept of honesty as not only an evolving practice but also as a spiritual principle that can be applied to life situations. Become aware of how honesty and truth shape our reality and work toward an equilibrium and understanding of the connection between your internal experience and your outward manifestation.
Perception
the concept of this episode is that the nature of an experience changes drastically depending on the perspective of the person having it. Science has admitted this in saying, The outcome of a study is affected by the observer. This is true in many situations, one man hates to take long car rides another loves it, the way they would describe the same long road trip would be much different. I hope you enjoy our humble offering about how perception effects reality
forgiveness
an episode about finding peace even in the face of your perceived enemies. Touches on the topics of anger, resentment, and forgiveness. Whether we like it or not resentments are like poison to us. Sometimes it is as simple as "let go or be dragged" we focus on how the four of us use spiritual principles to get the most out of trying situations, and stay in a place of peace and serenity, even in the most trying times.
we agnostics
an episode that talks about how atheists and agnostics can benefit from a spiritual practice even without a belief in a god, or a religious affiliation.
